MAGNUM

Introduction

Mobile drum screen

The Magnum is the largest mobile drum screen machine available from Komptech. Rugged design and exceptional power reserves ensure high levels of performance for all jobs, whether it be in soils, composting or waste screening. With a loading hopper sized for large wheel-loaders, a hopper conveyor with dual-drive and extended discharge conveyors and the option of 2 and 3 fraction models makes the Magnum the optimal choice of the largest operators.

Advantages at a glance

  • Fully mobile, three-axle semi-trailer design
  • Stiff frame with six supports provides excellent stability even on adverse terrain
  • Options:
    • Screen drum with fixed hole size
    • Flexible system with interchangeable screen segments
    • Special drum with anti-dirt strips for screening residual waste
    • Separated screen drum for three-fraction screening

Highlights

A lot in - a lot out

The hopper size is aligned to the high screen performance and enables convenient adaptability with a volume of up to 7 m³. The free fill length of 4.4 metres allows large wheel loader scoops to be used without problem. 47 m² of effective screen area demands a powerful discharge system. A wide collection belt and the 1000 mm wide discharge belts are equal to these requirements. With a belt extension high piles are possible up to a height of 3.5 metres.

Drum drive: 2 x "DRUMGRIP"

Alternativer

The drum drive has been revamped - now the smooth, low-wear DRUMGRIP drive system is used on both inlet and outlet sides. In conjunction with tandem supporting wheels, this drive concept withstands the highest of loading on a continual basis.

3-fractions on request

The MAGNUM is also available as a 3-fraction screen machine. The fine particle and medium particle belts can be mounted on the right or left. The design allows retrospective changing of the discharge sides, and hence also the fill side.

Quality assurance

Unintentional emptying of the hopper often results in a worsening of screen results. This can be effectively prevented with the hopper sensor controller that uses ultrasound to monitor the hopper and automatically stops, and starts again on filling, the hopper conveyor belt, the drum and the discharge belts (also available for other types).
