The new XL3 adds to Komptech’s line of large star screens. Its extra long coarse screen deck is a major benefit where coarse screening is a bottleneck, for example with fresh biomass. It brings a definite increase in throughput. The high performance and a semitrailer design for easy transport make the new XL3 perfect for the international market.

The new XL3 offers unmatched flexibility through the simple adjustability of the screen cut and market-leading low energy consumption with all-electric drive, using electricity from on-board generator or grid.

    Long coarse screen


    If high coarse-grain separation performance is what you need, the extra-large screening surface of the coarse screen deck is a big plus. It improves throughput as well as separation accuracy. Need things really coarse? The new double-screen stars in the coarse screen enable separation in the 100-150 mm range.

    The screen units are continually cleaned by the most simplest and efficient patented CLEANSTAR cleaning system. Each star has a wear-resistant cleaning element that clears the screen gap to the surrounding stars on each rotation. So screening is always in season with Multistar star screens.

    From fine to coarse


    Particle size can be controlled by varying the rotation speed of the star shafts. The particle size in the bandwidth specified by the star geometry can be changed within seconds by the control panel with touchscreen and visualisation. A screen section from 8-150 mm is covered due to different types and arrangement of the stars.

    Thanks to its design as a semi-trailer, the XL3 can find a vehicle to tow it almost anywhere. The worldwide use of this system simplifies approvals, and gives the Multistar XL3 unlimited mobility.
