The Primus is an entry-level drum screen. Designed as a tandem central axle trailer, the Primus has 16 m² of effective screening area, and offers a screen length able to handle big jobs. Solid, heavy-duty components like the hydraulic drum drive by roller chain and low-consumption diesel engine give it a great price-performance ratio. Options are available that allow users to configure the machine for their specific requirements.
Steep side walls in the hopper itself prevent the risk of material bridging. Flow is guaranteed even with wet material. A mechanical straight line controller automatically keeps the hopper belt in the required position.
A freely revolving circular brush, configurable from below, is used to clean the screen drum. The position opposite the screen side presents no risk of contamination by the screen material.
In its base configuration, every screen machine has a sturdy cleated V-belt for the fine particle and, for the oversized particle, a smooth belt with screwed-on, exchangeable cleats that minimise rolling back of cubic fractions. With a belt extension, the usable delivery height of the discharge belts on the Primus increases to almost 3 meters.
When working with excavated material, gravel or lightweight building rubble, a hopper pre-screen prevents possible damage caused by solid contraries. The sturdy coarse material grid is hydraulically hingeable via radio remote control and has a chute for deflection of contraries alongside the machine.
