The waste and recycling industry is dynamic. New business opportunities turn up, old ones disappear, and order volumes rise and fall.
For our customers to make the best of these changes, we need to be more flexible in how we provide access to our machines. For this reason, we are continually developing our business models, changing them, and recombining them. As a result, customers have access to new, used, and rental machines. We also offer machine refurbishment services and combined solutions such as rental to purchase.We consider it our responsibility to work with the customer to find the solution that provides the greatest benefit for them. This not only means providing the customer with a Terminator for treating mixed waste – we also show them “how”. For each of the solutions, we asked our customers why they decided upon the specific purchasing model and what benefits they derive from it.
Purchase options
The needs of customers are often very different. Individual solutions are required for different applications. This also applies to the purchase of machines. Four customers explain why they have each chosen the acquisition model they have:
New
Hallesche Wasser und Stadtwirtschaft GmbH relies on new machines from Komptech for the shredding of waste wood and green waste. Combined

Used

Rental
Energie AG Umwelt Service in Wels incinerates almost 300,000 tons of waste every year. In order to use the heat and energy generated from this as efficiently as possible, the entire city of Wels is supplied with district heating and electricity is produced. However, as the mechanical processing plant has to undergo an annual overhaul, a terminator is regularly rented from Komptech to ensure that there are no stoppages.
